Bandol Mourvedre - Cinsault Rosé Blend 2021

Ripe peach and strawberry, garrigue and minerality. A bit less alcohol showing than other recent vintages 😍👌 — 2 years ago

Domaine Le Couroulu

Cuvée Classique Vacqueyras Red Rhone Blend 2015

Meat and soil on the nose (just opened), but also baking spices and vanilla. Lovely fruits as well. And damn if this isn't a classic, gorgeous, and complex Rhone. A wee bit of grippy tannin, more fruits, and lots of smiles on this face. So lovely. — 2 years ago

Lemelson Vineyards

Thea's Selection Willamette Valley Pinot Noir 2019

Great bottle that paired beautifully with a rich seafood dinner in the Florida heat. Highly recommend for seafood fans — 2 years ago

Château du Tertre

Margaux Red Bordeaux Blend 2016

Full of black fruits and leathery on the nose. Black currant, cherry, ripe plum with a hint of tobacco on the palate. Medium plus tannins and high in acidity. Surprisingly smooth but shorter than expected finish. Great wine to sip and enjoy — 2 years ago

Domaine François Lumpp

Clos Jus Givry 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2015

Pretty ruby dress with brillance. Open nose, very Burgundian, between red fruits (cherry) and toasted oaky notes. Mouth, consistent with the nose, delivering as you taste many aromatic nuances, undergrowth among others. A lot of freshness yet for this 2015, it can still be drunk and evolve for several years.

Banshee

Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

Wonderful Sonoma Cab that seems just right in every way. It is a big wine with nicely rounded tannins. It is dry and slightly tart, but has a balanced feel to it. I’m gonna get me some more if I can find it. — 2 years ago

Rombauer Vineyards

Proprietor Selection Carneros Chardonnay 2020

Rombauer - expecting butter bomb based on prior experience. But this was completely different

Slight oak toastiness. Acidity and creaminess in great balance. A lot of depth and body. Little lime and super smooth. Just delicious through and through.

Isole e Olena

Cepparello Toscana Sangiovese 2008

Very good Sangiovese, brooding and elegant. This wine needs to be open at least 1 hour before consuming. Nose of tobacco, palette is leather and tar. Needs to be consumed with steak. — 2 years ago

Opus One

Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2007

A great special occasion wine. Sous vide ribeye and truffle butter pasta made a perfect pairing. Heavy leather on the nose initially but really calms down after only a few minutes of decanting. — 2 years ago

My favorite opus, purist will say it has too much fruit. But I think it had distinctive fruit, it was a bottle I would crave. I wouldn’t want a Cabernet when I got home I wanted an 07 Opus.
