Called southern Rhône off the bat. Not the cloying overblown kind but like perfect amount of serious and perfect amount of pleasure. Sense of place for sure 👌🏼 — 7 years ago

Ho Grafs family minus K visit mom BD 5/7/22. With Philly cheese steak Namaans Pizzeria. 15 years under the belt and still drinking beautifully with that dark fruited stony profile of the winery. Perfect match. — 4 years ago

Nose has yellow apple peel, pear slice, straw and beach sand.
Palate has tangerine zest, ripe pear, under-ripe yellow peach, cold clementine orange with medium acidity and slightly dry finish.
A nice bottle; not sure if this wants more time, or a couple years past prime...
On the sold out (18K+ patrons) Lawn at Tanglewood this evening with the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Our guest Conductor Ken-David Masur is leading a 90th birthday celebration of John Williams. BSO soloists tonight are J. Williams Hudgins (vibraphone) & Jessica Zhou (harp), joined by Yo-Yo Ma (cello), Branford Marsalis (saxophone), Eric Revis (bass) and James Taylor (vocals/guitar). A truly wonderful night lay ahead, and my money is certainly on hearing at least one or two Star Wars movements this evening... — 4 years ago

Rich smells of milk chocolate, ripe blackberries brambles and fresh blueberries, with hints of white mushroom, tart cherry, and saltwater taffy. Medium-light weight, deep opaque red with rich oily umami mouthfeel and light red fruits like cherry and plum on the palate, and soft well polished black tea tannins lingering nicely on the finish. Very interesting red, like a poor-mans-Ho-Brion (😉), would probably go well with tomato-cream sauce dishes and grilled meats or great by itself. Great value — 6 years ago
