I think this is absolutely incredible example of some killer classic Rioja. Tart red cherry, slight sweet soy sauce, moderate earth, brooding acid, vanilla/dill still present despite likely old barrique. Paired with spicy shrimp tacos. Everyone, get some...

Young but old at heart. With the best espárragos ever and killer cabrito.

Like a hit song I’ve heard over & over again, not sure I know what this tastes like anymore-but it is delicious. Give it air to fill out the tomato soup notes (actually a good tomato soup). Double dare on finding a better & more consistent value under 18$.

Textbook old school Rioja. Cherries, vanilla, tobacco, mint, spices, sweet and sour sauce, and hints of tomato. Velvety mouthfeel and finish; its savory character makes it a knockout pairing with Latin food.
