A very nice BdB made in an oxidative style - ripe yellow & red apples, bruised apples, subtle shortbread & brioche, a hint of fresh hazelnuts. Rich, evolved, so nice.
Very fine mousse on the palate, persistent bubbles, beautifully balanced with just a touch of residual sugar adding a nice creaminess on the palate.
This is truly a nice sipping bubbly. — 2 years ago
Delicious Musar Rose from a young vintage. Complex flavors that really opened up with the decanting recommended by Yannick Benjamin. Great combination with the spice and textures of the Peruvian food at Contento. — 3 years ago
Nice to have Yannick making wine that no one else will do. — 4 years ago
Deep ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.
Nose of red fruits with light earth notes.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with nice complexity.
Showing black currants, black plums, cherries, spices, tobacco, earth, light wood, dark coffee and black pepper.
Smooth finish with fine grained tannins and cherries.
This 6 year old is a very easy drinking Cabernet Franc from the Loire Valley in France.
Good right out of the bottle, and gets more complexity as it opens up. Tannins show up after 45 minutes of airtime.
I had it 4 years ago, and it is drinking pretty much the same, although it did gain more complexity. Will not get any better from this point, so drink up.
Good by itself as a sipping wine and good with food. I gave it a light chill and paired it with cheeses and crackers.
13.5% alcohol by volume.
90 points.

Opened yesterday, drank over 2 days.
The nose is very fruity and intense with dark cherry touches, earthy notes, some raspberry and blackberry scents too. I could even smell some peony notes too. This is really inviting. The palate is wide and long and quite complex. A good acid drive, some dark cherry notes all along, some very soft and easy going mouthfeel that is changing in mid palate with a great tannic wall, which adds a layer of dust over an otherwise quite juicy and fruity finish. In the back-end though, there is a tiny savoury note that pops along with a subtle bitterness. This is really my kind of cab franc. Really good stuff! — 9 months ago
