Ceci N'est Pas un Vin de France Alsace Chardonnay

And now the white. Actually a lot of the same profiles as the orange but without the tannic grip stuff, kinda not what I want from a white and on the edge of VA but still intriguing if kept cold. — a year ago

Cuvée Armandine Blanc de Blancs

A very nice BdB made in an oxidative style - ripe yellow & red apples, bruised apples, subtle shortbread & brioche, a hint of fresh hazelnuts. Rich, evolved, so nice.
Very fine mousse on the palate, persistent bubbles, beautifully balanced with just a touch of residual sugar adding a nice creaminess on the palate.
This is truly a nice sipping bubbly.

Deux Couleurs Orange 2022

Been waiting to try this producer for ages, didn’t disappoint; electric tropical fruit and florals on the nose, ripe guava, then tastes zingy and even with great grip and distant bitterness at the end, so good to see someone getting this style just right without any crazy notes putting the whole thing off course. — a year ago

Chablis Chardonnay 2019

Quite nice - pretty “down the middle” for chablis, but in a good way. — 3 years ago

La Source Saint Nicolas de Bourgueil Cabernet Franc 2022

Opened yesterday, drank over 2 days.
The nose is very fruity and intense with dark cherry touches, earthy notes, some raspberry and blackberry scents too. I could even smell some peony notes too. This is really inviting. The palate is wide and long and quite complex. A good acid drive, some dark cherry notes all along, some very soft and easy going mouthfeel that is changing in mid palate with a great tannic wall, which adds a layer of dust over an otherwise quite juicy and fruity finish. In the back-end though, there is a tiny savoury note that pops along with a subtle bitterness. This is really my kind of cab franc. Really good stuff!

Blanc Pinot Gris Terret

Rich floral summer bouquet on a hot sunny day, tart mealy apples, pears, honeysuckle palate with a lightly prickly finish that has a touch of leathery earth. Really elegant and pretty wine ☀️ — 3 years ago
