Clos Lentiscus

NÚRIA 2016

The second wine of the same name, this time Xarello. This is a tiny 9.5% ABV and nearly equal to the Montenega in being wonderful. Stripped but not barren, it not quite as toasted. No autolyse- instead white tea, vanilla chamomile, honey, and lemon. — 20 hours ago

Very rich and sophisticated. The smell of yeasty fresh baked bread and bruised apple. Blanched bitter almond, yellow apple, pear. Excellent. — 15 days ago

Anima Mundi Camí dels Xops M. Ancestral Maccabeu Xarello 2018

Macabeu and xarello. Refreshing, elegant and balanced. Would have guessed traditional method due to the tiny persistent bubble and the yeasty complexity. On the higher end for ancestral at $28 but worth every penny. Aperitif before lasagna! — 18 days ago

Vi d'Agulla Petillant Blanc Muscat Blend 2017

Very minimal acidic nose, pale yellow color with a nice light body with little complexity & a short aftertaste. A lovely aperitif wine to have or when sitting on the porch. — 7 days ago
