Glorious nose of apricot, peach and minerals. Very pretty. Smells like if the ocean was made of Riesling. Palate is gorgeous and a bit backwards with pink grapefruit, tangelo and apricot. Gorgeous purity and depth. Killer acidity but needs to come together. Nose gets herbal with air. Also some spice. Palate has great concentration and such an intense mineral sheen. Juicy and linear and wonderful delineation on the finish. Nose is confectionary beyond. Wet, damp earth. Salty, juicy, clean. So ludicrous. Succulent. This is killer on day 2. Wow. So concentrated and deep. Unreal tension. 9.6 9.7 overnight. The sap and intensity are world class. — a month ago
Lime zest, key lime, limestone. Lime for days. Great minerality, bright acidity. Focused, balanced. Great. — a month ago
Very much a dry German Riesling at 13% ABV. Arguably opened too early - guided by a window from Jancis. Her colleague, Julia Harding (through to 2030) was more accurate. Yellow orchard fruit aromas; under ripe peach on the palate-some spice and mineral - still carrying quite some acid. The palate is delicate and balanced. A pleasure to drink now with that GG quality coming through. I would’ve liked to try another bottle in 4 to 5 years. — 23 days ago

Acquiring and trying a bottle of Keller GG Riesling has been on my list for a while, and a great opportunity allowed me to snag this 2018 and finally see what makes this producer so highly regarded.
Enjoyed at pop, and followed over two hours.
I’m sure this could have benefitted from a decant, but part of my desire was to see how it changed from the start. Incredibly aromatic out of the glass…bright citrus and nearly tropical fruits, floral and also a unique smokiness. Texturally, this was powerful with intensity and vibrant-slaty minerality. Fresh limes and limestone wrapped in a full-bodied (for a Riesling) profile with acidity and a finish that lingered extensively. Fresh. Electric. Pure.
I didn’t notice a substantial difference at last glass vs the first, but this is still in its infancy. I can’t even fathom how good these must be with 15-20yrs on them! — 5 days ago
