Aromatics of Talc, white flowers a little peach and grapefruit. On the palate citrus and peach with diminishing acid. Just a fabulous mature Riesling with just a hint of petro chemical developing in the form of paraffin. It stamps the Great Southern in Western Australia as one of the premium Riesling districts in Australia. One of the 1001 wines and deserves to be. Drank with Dad at Garfish for 36th birthday with Oysters and Moreton Bay Bugs. Divine. — 7 months ago
Birthday dinner wine. Clay pot, dried cranberry, a little balsamic. Jared cooked ribeye, sautéed mushrooms, risotto and salad. Great pairing! Knocked it out of the park! — a year ago
Good. Great value. Nothing crazy — 3 years ago
Great for drinking in the park after your wife gets tenure. — 5 years ago
Polished domestic Merlot. Very savory on the nose. Almost classic Bordeaux in style , green olive and olive tapenade. Oregano and thyme with just a hint of oak hut not overly in your face. Beautiful inky hue. Lots of great tannin and acidity on the backbone of this wine. Plenty of room to keep aging. Blackberries and blueberries upfront. Fantastic finish that lingers without feeling big heat. Very well balanced at 14.5% — 2 years ago
Got the last ‘03 bottle!! cherry and plum on both the nose and palate with slight mushrooms and earth tones. An excellent wine that hasn’t appeared to age. Shout out to Bird & Jim - if you are in Estes Park you MUST stop here. Great food and an excellent wine list! — 4 years ago

2019 vintage. Great, lean leathery, earthy nose. Medium body. Excellent QPR. Haven't been selling much merlot lately so tough to get too agitated/excited but this was dynamite. 04.09.25. — 18 days ago
