Rüdesheimer Berg Rottland Riesling 2010

Funky stuff! Ripe peach with a grain of salt and just a hint of benzol. — a month ago

Johannisberg 'Gold' Eiswein Riesling 2007

I don’t drink Eiswein often but this bottle was a treat that was muled back from the old country. Very floral on the nose; honey sweet on the attack but there was fantastic acidity to give it the lift necessary to keep the balance. — 5 years ago

Johannisberger Hölle Auslese Riesling 2001

The magic formula acidity + sweetness in perfect harmony. Covered my palate like a baseball groundskeeping team during a rain delay. — 8 years ago

Charta Riesling 2011

Vintage 2011 | Butter and honey in smell, vibrant taste. Quite high in alcohol, 13,5%, so for me it is a dinerwine. Paired with a Moroccan Tajine and couscous. — 2 years ago

Johannisberger Hölle Kabinett Riesling 1985

Smoky petrol and wet mushroom, but an attractive honeyed quality keeps it fresh. Sweetness muted by age and blazing acidity — 8 years ago

Johannisberger Klaus Spätlese Riesling 1989

Good bit of petrol on the nose. Not quit as rich as I would have imagined. Plenty of fruit left. Drinking really lovely. Oh Lotus of Siam, how I cannot wait to be back! — 7 years ago

Kreuznacher Paradies Trockenbeerenauslese Scheurebe 1994

Amber and orange in the glass. Nose is a tad shy or mute, but on the palate this very, very tasty. Lovely nuances of apple syrup and grilled peaches, unctuous and suave. And although it lacks the laserlike focus and penetration that Riesling TBAs often show, it has a wonderful freshness and is dangerously drinkable. Good stuff!
