RED Blaufränkisch Blend 2006

Very approachable RED blend (60% Zweigelt, 30% Blaufrankish and 10% St. Laurent) from the Burgenland Region of Austria. Deep purple color. Aromas of dark cherries and purple flowers. Juicy fruit forward pallet with nicely balanced and refreshing acidity. This wine has aged quite nicely. Tannins are well integrated. Can handle being chilled. Nice wine. Riserva Südtirol Lagrein 2013

Delectable Wine
9.3

The 2013 Lagrein Riserva is a pleasure to taste, and it’s sure to win a lot of fans. Crushed ripe cherry, sweet spice, hints of white pepper, sage, mint and floral undergrowth all evolve in the glass. It’s cool-toned and juicy, with textures and body that will remind you more of Pinot than Lagrein. Energy builds, as zesty acids enliven its mineral-tinged wild berry fruit, while a subtle tug of gentle tannin resonates. This is a remarkably pretty wine that will win you over for its feminine grace over power. (Eric Guido, Vinous, November 2020) — 4 months ago

Leithaberg DAC Chardonnay 2016

Reductive, puristic, smoky and herby - already from the start. On the palate this shows brilliant balance between the vibrant, juicy acidity and golden delicious, ripe pear & melon and shy oak.
Yet behind all this there is this rough, smoky, mineral, wild edge that makes this really interesting and ask for a second glass. Better than the 2013 and drinking very nicely right now.

Leithaberg DAC Blaufränkisch 2016

Grass and earthy aroma. Enough tanning and acidity. Violet. Spicy. Mid body but enough concentration. It gives these taste to Pannobile Organic with Zweigelt. 2016 @1275, Kping, 201030 — 4 months ago

Elda Rosso Schiava

My love affair with northern Italy continues. Charming in a rugged way. Begins with iron and earth, ends with soft plush red fruit. Lots of nuances in between. A thinker and a pleaser, if that’s your thing. — 4 months ago
