Love this Silvaner from Germany. Not too sweet and a smidge of dryness. — 3 months ago
Actually the 19. Smells like honeydew and honeysuckle, and like an Arnold Palmer a little bit. Has a creamy middle, beautifully delineated structure and a surprising amount of heft. But not negative, obese heft, like a Winston Churchill heft — 4 years ago
Degustation with Delectable friend Byron Hewett and his wife Paulina at Restaurant Dan Arnold in Brisbane. This was the first matching wine, a Muscadet from the Loire Valley. Fresh and grapey. No oak influence, low acid Must drink more Muscadet in the warmer months. — 2 months ago
Juicy acidic sour peaches, but sweet! Like the glou of Arnold Palmer. 10% abv. Funky nose. In a word.... dope! — 3 years ago
The 3rd matching wine in the degustation at Restaurant Dan Arnold. I’ve been a long time fan of Yarra Yering back to the 1980’s, pretty much exclusively with their reds. This Dry White is a blend of Semillon and Chardonnay. ( not as per the title) Lemon and lime notes on nose and palate with M plus acid I recall. Certainly drinking this in its infancy. — 2 months ago
Awesome Tuscany setting... cold wintersday! Syrah and Siraz... same grape! Excellent wine — 9 months ago
Ok Burgundy, I think I’m starting to understand you. Recommended by Matt Arnold at WineFeed, this is an elegant wine. There is a grounded etherealness to it. Is that a word? Anyway, the delicate cherry, raspberry and orange peel maintains weight with an almost sappy quality that never gets close to being cloying. Faint earthiness in the background. Good depth but is impressive through balance and drinkability. — 4 years ago
