84 cases produced - planted 2015, the 2018 vintage is the first crops from these vines. Destemmed and crushed, then fermented in a very small stainless steel tank. Mixture of manual punch downs and pump-overs. Pressed after 18 days on the skins, the wine was then aged in neutral Burgundy barrels for 9 months. Bottled unfined and unfiltered.
A completely different expression of Malbec, bursting with fresh fruits, true to the variety but not the jammy version we normally see. It’s a Malbec with lots of flavor but lightness.
Very fruit forward with notes of red fruits, red plum, red cherry, iris, sage, cocoa, subtle sweet tobacco, medium plus body, balanced tannins, acidity, and alcohol (13.1% ABV).
