Lovely Bizou 2921 oak barrels cool upper valley Ciastal range — 8 months ago
Vintage 2020 | Modern marketing name and label. The Spanish can do magic with monastrell (= mourverdre). Unbelievable stubborn when popped and poured, beautiful smell. Given 24 hours aeration it develops lovely: smooth taste, glorious fruit. I selected it to pair Indonesian food, which is difficult for matching. It works. — 10 months ago

Pale reddish in color. Pretty color.
Fruity nose and medium in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with mild complexity.
Showing raspberries, cherries, red currants, earth, light chocolate notes and spices.
Tangy finish with soft tannins.
This is a very tasty Grenache blend from Columbia Valley. Elegant and nicely balanced with a soft mouthfeel. Feels like a Southern Rhone red.
Easy drinking and good by itself or with food.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

Smoky blueberry, leather — 10 months ago
First bottle of the 2010. This is gonna be a really special wine but I think it need another 5-7 years. Tannins and softened, fruit is there, acidity is still strong, and don’t get me wrong it’s great now with a couple hour decant, but in a few years it’ll be really nice. Getting black, blue, and dark red fruit, ripe and juicy. Man so silky in the mouth. Graphite, stone, forest floor, cedar, hints of camphor, black licorice. Wonderful. Nice medium + finish. Really nice, only going to get better! — a month ago
