Cherry candy nose with hints of basil. Raspberry and cherry with a nice core of spice, star anise and clove — 4 days ago
Outside on the deck. Big dusty berry bouquet when pouring. Deep inky color. Big burst of black berries. Boysenberry and sweet plums. Small dryness in the middle of it’s a quick spicy finish. — a month ago
This bad boy was like a versatile NFL running back - weighty up front but surprisingly light and dynamic on its feet, and the moves for a lingering finish - the Elroy Carson type @Scott Petrus - oh yeah it’s 100% Grolleau from two Japanese wine makers in the Loire. — a month ago
Sunday night the day after the 4th of July and we have been in a little bit of 90° weather and I a bit refreshing. I have decided to go to the lovely Sauvignon Blanc of New Zealand. I have opened the 2019 Allen Scott Family Winemakers Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough.
On the nose are beautiful fruit notes of peach, grapefruit, nectarine and minerality.
On the palate there is lime, grapefruit, passionfruit, nectarine and a nice minerality.
This wine is medium bodied that has a bright medium + acidity that leads right into a long crisp long fresh finish. I hope everyone's holiday weekend was an enjoyable one? I wish everyone a healthy and safe beginning to the week ahead. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 2 days ago
This is lights out. So much better than any other bottle I’ve had of this. Insane nose with mad mulch. Spice, mushrooms. But dried. Allspice. Sour cherries. Strawberry. Insane spice. Wood shavings. So so so crazy. 9.6 nose. Palate is so elegant, juicy and has a hint of succulence and an even smaller hint of rusticity. Amazing texture, freshness and such vivid fruit. This is truly amazing. There is SO much going on because Hündsruck is the best German Pinot vineyard. A masterpiece. — 6 days ago
Light ruby color. Medium tears. Warm nose with notes of leather, tobacco, and red fruit. On the palate, Earth, minerals, plum, and leather. Medium plus tannins for a full-bodied Pinot. Nice wine. — 20 days ago
Great Sonoma Pinot, I really enjoyed this but it is a day two wine. On day one there were loads of wonderful flavours but some high acidity. On day two this has smoothed out and is delicious, the palate is full of sweet fruit, cinnamon, earth and cola with a long smokey and new oak finish. The rich smokey flavour is very apparent and of course this is the 2017 vintage, could be in my mind but is it possible that the fires had an influence? Either way this is great. — a month ago
