Great, lively, concentrated gamay. Ruby colour/deep purple. Open black cherry nose. A fresh and tender mouth, with a great aromatic concentration developing aromas of rose petals, iris, undergrowth and peppery notes. A beautiful Beaujolais wine vinified in Burgundy style. Good guard potential.

Bouche fraîche et tendue, avec une grande concentration aromatique développant des arômes de pétales de rose, iris, notes sous-bois et poivrée. I had to carefully decant this, as it had a lot of that light, floaty sediment that starts zooming around if you even look at the bottle the wrong way. It’s got a light color, and loads of tangy cherry/ berry fruit, accented by a musky floral note and some stony minerality. In the mouth, it’s quite fluid and gulpable. Bone dry, but with nice pure fruit and lingering minerality. Deceptively complex. — 5 years ago

Lafarge is doing great work here. Nose is closed but still so pretty. Kinky raspberry, smoke, granite, and very floral. Roses and violets. The palate is so delicate with great grip and intensity. Juicy and complex with outrageous fruit and structure. Sappy and pure with lovely cherry/cassis fruit that is super precise. Such a lovely pitter patter of tannins on the finish.
