Velvety nose of cognac and red fruit. There's some strangely harsh tannin action going on on the front palate. Pepper and steel. This feeling stays around, making for a long finish. Bone dry, I'd say. Strong acidity. Great wine, but it's pretty demanding right now. Same thing on day two. Lingers for minutes and, in a way, hours. So maybe hold for I don't know how many years. Looking forward, though. 50+4+12+18+9=92. PS: A creamy dish saved it. Great fun!

I've never had a dissatisfied guest. If you are trying to help a Napa Cab drinker make the leap this is a producer that you can trust. It is a typical but it is approachable for a new world palate

Trademark sour cherry, lingonberry aromas. Still not perfect, but enjoyable with a dp vial Bolognese pasta sauce. Before you know it the bottle is empty...
