Fall is here and it’s the season I love to drink port. Dow, producing Ports for over 2 centuries. One of the first to establish its own vineyards, acquiring Senhora da Ribeira, in the remote Upper Douro, in 1890 & Bomfim, in the heart of Alto Douro, in 1896. Aromas of ripe fruits, fragrant spices and sweet notes. On the palate flavors of candied apple and jammy blackberries with cacao and honey. Firm dusty tannins, good balance, long finish. Общее впечатление: Мощное, современное по стилю вино с ярким характером сорта и заметным влиянием технологии «под амароне».
Моя оценка: 92/100
Цена/качество: В сегменте около 40–45 лев за бутылку выглядит оправданно для флагманского вина из автохтонного сорта.

asking around for a recommendation for interesting cheap wine for accompanying a family meal, this red blend was advised.
60% Cabernet sauvignon
30% syrah
5% petit verdot
5% cabarnet franc
1 year in french oak barrels.
15% ABV
strong red 👀
a bit of funk and grass first, followed by cooked black fruit and some ripe red fruit with added black pepper and vanilla👃
full body.
high acidity.
low tannins
silky mix of ripe black and red fruit with tartness and sweet oak spices with some greeness and dirt on the background👄
long pleasent 🎯
intresting and well made.
excelent vfm (59 nis).
at the meal there was a choice of ouscous and rice (separately) with vegetables, chard and beans or salmon with thick and spicy pepper and 🍅 sauce.
the wine got along with them, even with the spicy fish.

pineapple and hinted flint👃
medium minus body.
medium minus acidity.
tropics and lemon with biterness on the side and some hinted funk 👄
light 🎯 with some juicy feeling.
can't say i was amazed but well done with firm balanced structure.
great vfm (75 nis).
had it all day long while vacationing in a hotel with the family.
as the time passed bitterness was felt more and funkness became dryness.
not my fave style sauvignon blanc but still very good.

Sipping Fine Wine
When I’m not drinking a Napa Cab, and I’m having a fillet mignon, I reach for a Jordon. Blend of 87% Cab Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 2% Petit Verdot & 1% Malbec, aged 13 months in 100% French oak (35% new). Deep Ruby red color with aromas of red fruit, floral and an array of herb spices. On the palate flavors of blackberry and raspberry with oak, vanilla spice, leather and cacao notes. Rich fine tannins, well balanced and integrated with fruit and oak. Very Nice! Will age well.
