I haven’t had this wine since the late 2000’s.
As good as I remember it.

Pulled this out at random. Wow delicious. If you have any open now! — 6 years ago
Good wine, especially for the price. — 7 years ago
Robbing the cradle I know, yet have to taste when I grab a trinity.
Smells like roasted animal fat (as a Pescatarian, the same qualities are very similar) and old socks.
Tastes of olive oil (Animal fat) Herbs de Provence, leather, Tabac.
This finishes with medium tannin/acid mouthfeel.
This is a nice Cab Franc. South America shines!

Dark fruit, chocolate and blueberries, little bit of spice, solid wine for the price. Drinks above it’s price. — 8 years ago
Always good to have a taste of home, and very little does that better than Gimblett Gravels Syrah. Great dark fruit, showing excellent leathery tones. — 8 years ago
My last bottle of the 2014 Bullnose and consistent with previous notes here on Delectable. Hawkes Bay is one of the best districts in NZ for Syrah and Cabernet. Hasn’t really evolved much from the first of 4 bottles I had in 2021. Still has the trademark black pepper and spice in what is essentially an elegant medium bodied wine without the fuller bodied blackberry and tar of nearby Trinity Hill Homage. — a year ago

Vindruvigt. Kryddig eftersmak. Lite tjockt. Aromatiskt — 5 years ago
An apple, a peach, a citrus. The holy trinity. :) — 6 years ago
The holy trinity of cidre here - apple, pear, quince. It's a really pure and pretty expression. And I never knew cidre could be saline. And that flower power! Drinks way too nicely. Absolutely in love ❤️ — 8 years ago
Others say it’s oaky... I get a little but not in an off-putting way. For the $, this is incredibly solid. Perfect for Thanksgiving or any white meat bird. — 8 years ago
Outstanding. Drinking really well — 8 years ago
I had this with a pizza in the company of the Cals...the wine completed the trinity required for a superb evening.... it has a superb bouquet coupled with mild but yet flavours which encourage a pause while consuming Bacchus this is a good one for our followers — 8 years ago

1989 vintage. Sweet fill and cork. Opened but not decanted. Tasted after one hour and three hours. Burgundian color and body. Spice, minimal fudge and durty dirt to complete the holy trinity. Just passing time. Could seemingly glide along in this phase for another 5-spot. Good punch on the finish. 10.18.24. — 2 years ago
This has one of those brilliant, well polished high def née world wine noses.
Subtle fruit, yet so perfect the aroma.
A touch of salinity leads to classic Cab fruit, that hint of almond, those delicately placed petals on the palette, persimmon in the end game, with minty acidity and well focused tannin.
I’d say this wine has come together perfectly with time. — 5 years ago
Delicious fruity, not too sweet, smooth long finish- 2013. Wish I had bought more! — 6 years ago
I always seem to screw up and not order nearly enough of this. This one goes more to the smoky, meaty side than the previous release(s), yet still has full court press of black fruit, black licorice, black pepper, and allspice. This wine does take an hour to figure itself out as this one was extremely acidic and somewhat disjointed initially. This wine poured a dark violet to the glass. The nose is black fruit, licorice with a hint of grilled meat, iodine, and a nutty character. The entry is dark black fruit, black licorice, smoke, leather, with plum and grilled meat character in the middle with some allspice kind of character. Finishes with nice acidity and a stiff, toasted tannin on the finish with lots of black pepper and fruit. This wine is on full blast, so make sure your suspenders are on. Gonna try to beg for more of this, as it will still be going strong for a while. @Shay A I think this one has your name on it. — 8 years ago

WOW. Absolutely fantastic port-style dessert wine. The flavors imparted from the barrel aging are really amped up but not unbalanced, it almost drinks like a port finished bourbon. Beautiful caramel brown color, stewed prune, fig and date on the nose, which transfers directly to the palate along with a thick, creamy vanilla note with a touch of barrel char. Juice is absolutely worth the squeeze — 3 months ago
