Paired well with a wide variety of meat, from several cuts of steak to lamb and andouille sausage. — 4 months ago
Very plush with mild honey, pear and white peach. Settled acidity and sharp and clean finish. — 6 months ago
Pepper, strawberries, red licorice on the nose. Vanilla, plum, and citrus on the taste. Paired nicely with charcuterie and dark chocolate. I bought, I think if I cellar the other for another year or two, it would be great. — 3 months ago
Unshackled 2023. Nose; pepper, cherry. Taste: cherry, leather. I really enjoyed this Cabernet Sauvignon and a great deal for the price. — 4 months ago
Christmas gift. Bolder thrown most Pinots. — 4 months ago
Second time tasting this 2018 bottling. Four years on, the 2018 Headlock has softened and found better harmony. The once dense core has relaxed, with plum, blackberry compote, and blueberry giving way to dark cherry, cocoa, and gentle smoke. The flamboyant Prisoner richness remains, but tannins are more polished and the sweet spice better integrated. Acidity also softens but still has enough to lift the palate. A lot to like here.

"Odedi"
Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.
Strong nose of black fruits with cedar, vanilla, leather, spices, earth, chocolates and black pepper.
Full-bodied with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry and very fruity on the palate with black currants, black plums, blackberries, cooked cherries, light green vegetables, spices, pencil lead and peppercorn.
Long finish with soft tannins and tangy cherries.
This 10 year old red blend from California is still drinking beautifully. Complex and interesting. Nice to see that it aged nicely.
Showing slight RS on the palate, but I can live with that.
Easy drinking and good by itself as a sipping wine.
A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, Syrah and Charbono.
15.2% alcohol by volume.
92 points.
