2021 vintage. Ruby red in color, blackberry and cherry on the nose and palette, medium bodied, decent texture, definitely better on the second day after opening, — 2 months ago
Well balanced red fruits, some oak and spiciness, a bit burgundy vibe without the burg perfume. Nice. — 3 months ago
Set out to try a Sicilian wine for the first time (that I can remember) at my favorite restaurant in NYC and it did not dissapoint! Notes of cherry, red fruit, and smoke. Surprisingly mineral finish for a red, incredibly dry! Fantastic! — 6 months ago
Light garnet color with a dark ruby core., Aromas of ripe black fruit, asphalt and fresh herbs. Flavors of blackberries, black plums, black tea, black pepper and dark figs. Touch of mint on the medium-plus finish. Firm chalky tannins and nicely balanced acidity. Complex, elegant and flavorful. Thanks for opening, Chris B! — 7 months ago

Another solid vintage of this interesting Sicilian rose’. Dark fuchsia color with orange and copper highlights. Aromas of ripe red berries, rose petals and orange zest. There is also a bit of a funky/sour aroma that quickly blows off. Flavors of sour cherry and strawberry fruit, blood orange and minerals. Long and crisp finish with a creamy texture. Zippy acidity and well balanced. Bold and quite food friendly. — 6 months ago
An outstanding catarratto from 700-900m high Sicilia. Apple pear tropical med+ aromas, same med+ taste, med+ body but not heavy. 13% alc. 💥 year after year… — 7 months ago
Amazing white wine bought directly at the vineyard Planeta. First experience with the Fiano variety. Can be served cold or at room temperature. Room temperature (18°) allows you to appreciate it fully. — a month ago
Deep red nose tannins bite at the back of the mouth — 2 months ago

Opened about an hour prior to service; enjoyed over the course of two days. Fairly consistent throughout but maybe even a touch better on Day 2? The 1976 “Unico” pours a garnet color with a slightly orange rim and a near opaque core; medium viscosity with moderate staining of the tears and some sediment. On the nose, the wine is vinous with intoxicating notes of cassis, black cherry, red plum, dried flowers, coffee (for dayz), tobacco, leather, sandalwood, some organic earth and a mix of cool and warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long with gorgeous texture. This bottle came across remarkably young and supremely elegant. So much so, that I thought it was an inspired decision by one of our brothers-in-wine to include it in this particular lineup. We had a little leftover for the next day and it continued to show well. Brilliant stuff. Drink now through 2046+ — a day ago
