Wow. Kaleidoscopic wine. Dark cherries, dark chocolate, tobacco, roses and violets, a precise, pure, elegant and complex wine that is great now but will stand the test of time. Waaaaaaay too young. Nose is gorgeous. Lovely earthy elements. Deep. Lilacs. Beautiful. Super clean cherry fruit. Tastes like a 6 month old wine. Hints of cherry licorice. Silky tanins. Needs another 3-5 to strut its stuff. Will be awesome then. Drink from a Bordeaux glass. — 7 years ago

Light colored almost coral like. The grip , length, depth and layers. Tanins are still young and clearly this wine still has many years of youth. Not even bowing its age. It’s so subtle and non agressive you could mistaken it for being a lesser wine but you see the power and longevity will reward it with depth and complexity. Not showing its potential yet but nonetheless a monument to Barolo. — 7 years ago

This is a new adventure for me and it didn’t disappoint. Black tea leaves, currant, and new leather up front. Lots of tightness, even after decanting for awhile. Dried plums, figs. The tanins are wonderfully balanced. Gotta get some more of this. — 7 years ago

The cork was disintegrating and the bottle was not entirely off but not as we remember this wine. Great fruit and tanins underneath what tasted as a very evolved and somewhat “cooked” Lafleur. Hoping our last couple of bottles will be better than this one… — 5 years ago
