Saint Helena Petite Sirah 2014

So. Damn. Good. Could have gone another 15 years without breaking a sweat. Plums, cherries, milk chocolate and some leather notes that lets me know it is actually evolving and hasn’t just been in stasis from the moment it was bottled. Very impressive and wish I had another. — 3 months ago

Rob Murray Vineyards

Stasis Murmur Vineyard Pinot Noir 2010

Very extracted Pinot. This worked well with July 4th ribs, balancing the spice of the sauce. — 6 years ago

Edna Valley Albariño

Drinking the 2014 in 2016. Creamy start with pronounced Granny Smith tartness across the palette. Mild minerals. Smooth, but abrupt finish. Goes down well on its own or with fish and vegetable dishes. — 8 years ago

Stone Brewing Co.

an amazingly Hazy IPA

Speckled floater nebula of golden light in stasis. Perfect crown of bright ivory flaunts an undulating lacing landscape. Equine. Jalapeño freshness, chive, pear, and ghostly grapefruit. Floral with jasmine, peach blossom, carnation, daisy, and strawberry. Creamy clouds of orange, tangerine, grapefruit creme, vanilla blossom, lemon nougat, almond, lemon soda, quinine, tartaric resonance, lemon-lime alkaseltzer. .

Raptor Ridge

Adalfo's Block Pinot Noir 2008

These 08s are really wonderful. They were in stasis for so long. On release they were somewhat open, then quickly tightened and refused to reveal themselves. Remember, the 08 was the banner year with all the promise. Well, they seem to be coming out of hiding which is thrilling. Full palate, rich, soul of the soil evident. — 6 years ago

Château Ducru-Beaucaillou

Le Petit Caillou St. Julien Red Bordeaux Blend

19 hrs open but 14 in a vacuum....someone help me with the math, cuz I know it’s still trace developing under decanter seal....fantastic and worth the wait. Purple shifts to garnet. Jam to stewed fruit. A Utah-like powder emerges. A shout becomes a suggestion. Wonderful Thursday afternoon wine, for considering the phenomenon of simultaneous forward momentum and stasis. — 4 years ago

Littorai

The Haven Vineyard Pinot Noir 2009

Powerful Pinot defined by ripe fruit and oak. Dark cherry, blackberry, plum, lavender, vanilla and toast. Amazingly structured and intense finish. Still looks immensely youthful, in stasis. — 6 years ago
