1.5 hour decant (decent fine/cloudy sediment). A spectacular purplish dark garnet color with little bricking. On the nose: blackberry jam, cedar, vanilla, floral, baking spice, and eucalyptus. Taste: Wow!!! A rich, smooth, creamy, blockbuster of a wine with soft round tannins...some black and blue fruit, dark chocolate, licorice, touch of that Rutherford dust, with a black cherry tobacco long semi dry finish. 2009. Similar notes to the 2005. Less eucalyptus notes, more dried fruit. Inky color, iron minerality, cassis driven, pretty fruit, tannins still grippy. Tobacco and mint on the finish. Cork disintegrated while opening, but juice intact! 😁 — 2 months ago

1975 vintage. From magnum. Decent fill and cork. Decanted and tasted after two hours. Medium body. Nose remained angular and sharp throughout but flavors vacillated between finesse and brutish. Bought this just to “try” with several friends at a home get together of several grilled meats; pork, beef and lamb “pieces”. The wine seemed to work nicely with all. Deep, strong hints of fruit and good tannin; I was a bit surprised because of the blends but found it to be a keeper. It has become one of our favorite wines to bring to others when visiting! Good reviews from all who received it!

👃 is incredible. Black and blue fruit + olive.
Medium+ body, chewy mouthfeel. Blackberry, currant, black cherry, touch of dust, and acidity that is Corison. This is my favorite Napa Corison. Different than the ‘14s, ‘16’s, and 18’s that I love. Thanks @Cathy Corison !! — 3 years ago
