I’ve come to realize that I probably cellar many of these Napa “cults” too long and rather should enjoy them for their exuberance earlier.
So to my palate this is a notch below the 2010-vintage which I guess I’ll have to check in on again sooner than later....

A friend recently had this and was very disappointed. Felt it was very closed off even after 4 hr decant. I gave this a 10 hour decant and it was really great. You can tell this has a lot wound up into it even still. Great density to palate without coming across hot or overextracted. I think this wine will age for many years and if you drink now, decant all day prior to drinking.
