Dark, tobacco, good depth, almond aromas, a little anise, not deep, but long finish. Really very good. — 6 days ago
Exactly what CNDP should be. Red fruit, black olive, lavender, freshly butchered meat, sage. Seamless. Absolutely delicious and super convenient out of a split. Recent bottle shop find and I’m going back today to clear em out. — a month ago
Musky earth, boysenberry, leather, pie/jam like, color is ink purple, tannins tingle with acid and it’s incredible right in that split second like the perfect blueberry pie and biting acids and dripping jams, wet and thorough, juicy, but subtle and soft and not sticky at the ending as it drifts away — a month ago
Silky, elegant Pinot Noir by Thierry Mortet, Denis Mortet’s younger brother. This wine comes from a 0.22 hectare plot in Aux Beaux Bruns, one of Chambolle-Musigny’s 25 officially classified premier crus and at little over 1 hectare, also one of the smallest. Domaine Denise Mortet owns another 0.22 hectares in this climat - I suppose, the other half of parcel split between the two brothers when their father Charles Mortet retired in 1991. Delicate. Ripe black fruit, smoke and pepper aromas. Very smooth tannins, good length and satin-like finish.

Guys like Herve Villemade make do in ripe years and this is good juice from tough conditions.
Big concentrated long wind - fully ripe Pinot and Gamay, about 60/40 split.
Nose of red currants, crushed strawberries, and cedar. Flavors of raspberries and bright strawberries can carry a tune. — 12 days ago
Nice way to start our Christmas celebration! Floral, citrus and yeasty aromas. Pear, apple and brioche flavors. Abundant bubbles. Creamy and smooth texture. Nice freshness. A touch of sweetness. Love the mini (split) bottle. Thanks so much for sharing, Kase. Luckily, I did not drop the empty bottle like I did in the movie theater last year! 😁 — 25 days ago
Insignia. WNH virtual tasting . The tasting included 95,96,00,01,02,09,13,14. Last 95 I enjoyed was in May of 2019 along side the 1982. Both I vividly remember fondly.
90% CB 7% Merlot 3% PV.
One thing all the wines had in common. The color was deep garnet - purple . 95’ showed Bit of sediment. NO signs of bricking, absolutely incredible. There was no way you could tell this wine was 25 years young.
The nose comes off as left bank/Barolo. (earthy, violets)
Palate- Light signs of red currant, red & black plums, orange rind, black olives, floral notes, good acidity, grainy tannins. Long & lingering finish.
Opened it 45 minutes prior to tasting. Enjoyed it over the next 2 1/2 hours. Must say the last glass was better than the first...wife & I split the bottle and agreed. — 2 months ago
