Ripe strawberries spill over this glass. Delicious farm fresh berries give a solid fruit forward punch of summertime porch pounding. Sangria wine without any of the frou-frou none sense. And the gorgeous deep color of this wine is sexy enough sans garnish. — 4 years ago
It's so hot - must be time for Riesling 😎 This £14 German butt slapper sure refreshed those sweaty beads oozing from my body ☀️💦
🍷 Light straw yellow
👃 Lemons, limes, oranges, peaches, apricots & green apples rolling through a fuel spill across rocky minerals
👄 Med body zingy mixed citrus fruits in a peachy med+ acidity w/ lime pushing through & a tropical hint 🌴
🎯 Med+ dry lime driven mineralised citrus refreshing cooler
Whether you want your butt slapped or not this is a great value wine ⛄️ — 7 years ago
The label was damaged by a water/humidity spill at the bottom of our eurocave in Rio. Cork was perfect and the wine is hitting on all cylinders now. Tannins have soften up and the raw materials are outstanding. Dark rubi robe with slight bricking on the rim. Nose of dried plums, leather, tobacco and that peppery cabernet thing. Very dense for a medium bodied wine, the rusticity is gone and all that is left is complexity and length in a very balanced presentation. Finishes on a mineral note that makes you thirsty for more. If you like classic claret then look no further. This is what it is. — 2 years ago

Sweet and light - great as dessert. Given a glass after the espresso spill in Paris. — 7 years ago
An 8.7abv pounder seems like a contender for bell ringing. Let’s see if this Big Philly number has the clapper, and is all it’s cracked up to be. The judges are looking for a big freedom ringing ding-and-a-dong before they bestow the bejeweled belt. Pale aspect, though sinewy. Platinum flattop. Is this Dolph Lundgren (on the DL)? Does that make me the Italian S-T-A-L-L-I-O-N mang? Some know where I’m go-ween with this. Wealth of the ‘Delph. Ridge over space pods lacing where the pods spill downward in the unctuous tears of muscle sweat. Juicy grapefruit nose, tinged with a little octane, oranges, lemons, and limes; all parts. Soft butterscotch parts, too.. Dried tropical mango, pineapple and just a bit of ginkgo fruit bruised in the knees. Gorgeous mouthfeel. All the classic beer elements share the stairs here! Candied trio of citrus peels here: lemon, orange, grapefruit, and touches of caramel apple. Not a long finish, but a hard fought TKO in the end! .

Snagged this Sonoma North Coast 2014 fine thing at my local shop, in Morehead City, NC. Did same with a Jersey Mike's turkey sub sporting everything but for pickles. As corporate as that might read, I nonetheless suggest you do same - or something similar thereto. Most know how groovy Pinot Noir is with turkey, so, whether you have access to a crazy cool loaf of northern Cali sour dough and a fresh turkey from the wild or you are doing a JM #7, like me on another coast, this maroon draped fineness will likely turn your head, tilt the bottle, and pour over and over as you work your way through a full-benefit sandwich drenched by this gorgeous liquid lady bathed in boysenberry, cherry and blueberry that has snuggled with seemingly new but proper oak wrapped in Merlin's seaborne magic mist lending the upper oceanside forest's wet, wild spice exaggerated with each spin and spill that clings and lingers righteously reckoning with Quicksilver's vintage plea - " have another hit..."

2021. From the D&G website “The base is Testa Carignane (62%) and Rava Grüner Veltliner (21%) and the spice is a mix of Fenaughty Grenache Blanc (6%) & Vermentino (6%) and Cloud Chardonnay (5%).”
Their tasting notes are spot on, especially the fruit rollup 😄
“Delightful tart notes of Bing cherry, cranberry and red raspberry spill forward on the palette along with the zing of chewy fruit-rollups. Deeper in, a flinty, volcanic minerality balances and grounds this high-energy wine, while a creamy mouthfeel completes the enchantment.”
