Deep dark scarlet. Nice vibrant color. Very direct nose. Notes of tart cherries, pencil lead, cranberries, moist soil and some tree bark. Very rich in the mouth. Nice acidity, tannins soft and integrated. Still young and primary. Needs more age and development.

Birthday wine...leather, cigar, earth/mushroom, dried friut, medium alcohol, medium plus acid, tannins present but sooo smooth. Perfectly balanced..Delicious, paired with steak, but not enough tannin to cut thru steak, but regardless just absolutely delicious.

Classic nose of cedar, menthol, decaying leaves, classic St. estephe forest floor in action. Good palate a bit blocky and unexciting, and dilutes on the finish. Somewhat watery and not held together. Weird.
