Superb. A little floral on the nose. Immediate diesel which is strange but then controlled and bags of mineral — at 3 pavaru restorans Riga — 3 months ago
Well German Chard easily beats the French white Burgh counterparts on a complexity/price ratio! Just a few are „In the know“ and the wines are stupid cheap for what they offer - good for me! The only quality importer is Lyle Fass. This wine is quite rare. Already turning dark yellow in the glass.
Stinky on the nose which blows off. Very complex. Tons of stuffing! May be even too rich? Great now but can go 5+ years. Lemon, complex citrus, lemon curd, rich. A ton of character! Touch of wood. Burned Hazelnuts. Very classy and special „I wish you where here…“ Will run this through my self-built (high quality) Argon line not the BS stuff wine shops have - and drink throughout the week in small increments. Even better than previously tested. I will make a case in point and will sample more German Chards for - all of you guys out there in 2026. May be importers will take notice. — 8 months ago
Crisp and bright, taut, pretty, stone fruit, citrus and mineral. Not as concentrated or complex as anticipated. — 2 years ago
Killer nose of limestone, lime zest, some light butter and some light oak. So well done. Nose is so expressive. Palate is rich, ripe, textured and so clean with lovely sweet lime fruit and tremendous balance and purity. Nose has some nice sweaty elements as well. Unreal how clean this is. Stunningly pure. Not too complex but hits the right notes perfectly. — 3 years ago
Medium light lemon yellow. Quite open and fruited at first with pear , quince , white flowers, then after a while slightly smoky , chalky , wet stones . On the palate this is strict and mineral , much more so than the nose indicates. Green apple , pear and quince , lemon peel. Quite refreshing , sharp acidity , good wet stone , grafite , green apple tinged finish. Young needs another few years and will last well another decade maybe longer . — 8 months ago
Needs a good 75 minUte decant. Very reluctant.
Nose: Smokey minerals. Lemon rind. Pith. Some sea breeze. Complete. Much richer and more dense as it opens.
Palate: hint of sweet lemon. Hidden density. Delicious. Elegant. Almost an herbal liquor taste after an hour. Denser an hour in.
