Aromatic and so pure.
Honeysuckle, peach pie, a touch of lanolin and mandarin peel. And yet - this is retrained & quite cool. Warm slate emerges.
On the palate this is impeccably balanced, so poised. Juicy, just ripe, with purity of fruit and amazing tension. Finishes off with a slightly creamy mouthfeel (very Burgundian!) and a beautiful long mineral finish.
Drinking perfectly right now. Simply delish!

Crisp and bright, taut, pretty, stone fruit, citrus and mineral. Not as concentrated or complex as anticipated. — 2 months ago
Nose : pretty white flowers on open.
Palate: elegantly mineral. Prettily tart.
Lets see where this goes.
Day 2. Nose has hints of being mesmerizing. White flowers. Lemon flowers. Really pretty. A subtle intensity. Hints of Tahitian vanilla. Very fine. Integrated mineral dust. Such fine minerals.
Palate is lagging the nose. Elegantly mineral. A hard to describe sense of integration. Elegant “sweet” fruit. Perfect toned down stone fruits.
Don’t drink this until 2026 at the earliest. Likely 2028. It could be brilliant but it’s just not expressing itself now. The balance and the studios is there though.

Nose: Smokey in a sexy wild child way. Almost savory. As this opens this gorgeous freshly pulverized sweet minerals. Wow.
Palate. Rich. Great yellow apple fruit. Popping acidity. Terrific. Sweet minerals.
The COVID vintage. More time spent in the vineyards than ever. Nothing else to do.

I think Battenfeld has cornerned the Pfalz crushed stone minerality market...brilliant wine. Zingy lemon rounds this excellent wine off. Already amazing but with potential. At €35 this offers top value for money and proves really for me that Riesling is the king of white wines.

Wow.
Nose is “outrageous” dense. Umami. Complex. Wow.
Palate: rich but balanced. Dense but bright. Awesome.
As this opens fucktastic brininess. — 3 months ago
