Dog Point Vineyard

Marlborough Pinot Noir 2017

Well balanced Pinot from this excellent Marlborough producer. 2017 is a tricky year but still very well balanced for a NZ Pinot. Earthiness is balanced with the cherry fruit which reminds me of an Prince Edward county Pinot. Bought it at the winery (the family owned viticulteurs are awesome hosts, I highly recommend to book a tasting) shame they haven’t released the awesome 2019 vintage. One of the nicest Pinot from Marlborough and it is wired to drink in a camp site! 😂. 😢 where is my cheese plate? — a day ago

Terroir Series Fumé Blanc Sauvignon Blanc 2019

New world (Marlborough) meets old world (Loire). Creamy, gentle gooseberry and white fruit. Delicious. The Brancott estate restaurant is awesome! — 3 days ago

Hunter's

Offshoot Chardonnay 2017

What an amazing recommendation from my local wine shop!!

Light gold color. Huge nose of butter and cream. Big wine, with camomile, butter, and just the right amount of acid. Smothers the palate immensely. No way this should be only £20!!!

I’ll be buying more!

Marlborough Pinot Noir 2017

Fresh red cherry, with delicate notes. Not a Burgundian or Oregon or even Prince Edward county (lacks for minerals notes) but still one of the best NZ Pinot I have ever tried. — 3 days ago

Waipapa Bay

Marlborough Chardonnay 2019

The nose on this New Zealand Chardonnay is so fresh and green that I thought I had inadvertently opened the Sauvignon Blanc. Grassy, herbal aromas pop right out, with bright citrus, apple and stone fruit following. The palate features lemon, grapefruit and apricot (!) with a racy acidity that adds to the freshness. The wine has some heft to it - thanks to malolactic fermentation - so it plays well in the winter. I’m sure it will be just as welcome in the spring and summer.

Nikau Point

Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2019

It’s what you might expect from NZ SB. But at $6 from Trader Joe’s a huge bargain. As good as Kim Crawford or other more expensive similar wines. It’s got the citrus but ends not sharp but quite soft. Worth getting more of. — 15 hours ago

Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2019

This wine’s nose bears the New Zealand standard for Sauvignon Blanc - grassy, herbal, grapefruity and a lanolin note thrown in to the mix. The grapefruit comes on strong on the palate and brings the herbal stuff in through the back door. Acidity is great and the finish is long and full of citrus.

Sauvignon Blanc 2019

Clean, crisp, slightly acidic Sauv. Blanc. if you ever want to be in the middle of Marlborough and stay in the wine country this is a place. In the middle of vines! Awesome. — 3 days ago

Mohua

Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2018

Impressive - effusive evolving nose very complex for NZ SB: big time grassy w/hint of savory herbs, but quickly pivots to green-filtered fruit: pineapple, guava, and lime - tart zesty vibrant citrusy w/out being nervy. They got something really good going on here — 18 days ago
