Dark garnet with near black core. Cabernet-forward nose of cassis with a bit of green. Palate is full-bodied with medium tannins and juicy medium plus minus acidity, and confirms the nose adding no blackberry and a wee bit more bell pepper (normally a turn-off for me, but in this higher-acid blend, it works). Finish is moderately long and continues the palate. Australia has come a long way with its reds and this is a great example of how. Fruit forward yet food friendly, the Cannonball is an excellent entry into higher end Aussie reds. Drink now through 2028. — 2 years ago

Nicely balanced blend of Sauvignon Blanc (73%) and Semillon (27%), sharp notes of tropical fruits, lime and citrus peel. Dry and hint of fruity on the back end. Refreshing and smooth finish and some minerality finish. A great sipper! — 3 months ago

We are members at this winery... I know... Idaho is still figuring out how to do wine, but this wine is a bit-o-alright! Every other month we make the drive to the winery to pick up our allocation. While there is no restaurant at the winery, you are allowed to bring a picnic lunch. Sitting inside or outside with a picnic lunch and w a tasting that comes free w membership is delightful! Staff is so pleasant, and the winery has remained open (with restrictions) during this time of Covid . We like the experience, and THAT’s why we are members. We were willing to put up w mediocre wine for the EXPERIENCE. But, hey, this wine definitely surpasses mediocre! — 4 years ago

I heard Bill Murray on a podcast recently raving about the bramble-berry pie he had the night before, describing the many berries that went into making it so delicious. It’s a fitting description for the current release of Bedrock’s Dolinsek Heritage red too, which is loaded with a rainbow of berry flavors and all their sweetness and bright acidity captured in a bottle instead of a crust. There’s an added bonus of a long, peppery finish thanks to the 70+% Zin in the field blend and some firm, drying tannins that signal a great future ahead. — 13 days ago
