We are members at this winery... I know... Idaho is still figuring out how to do wine, but this wine is a bit-o-alright! Every other month we make the drive to the winery to pick up our allocation. While there is no restaurant at the winery, you are allowed to bring a picnic lunch. Sitting inside or outside with a picnic lunch and w a tasting that comes free w membership is delightful! Staff is so pleasant, and the winery has remained open (with restrictions) during this time of Covid . We like the experience, and THAT’s why we are members. We were willing to put up w mediocre wine for the EXPERIENCE. But, hey, this wine definitely surpasses mediocre! — 5 years ago

Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot, deep Ruby red color with aromas of spice and cedar notes. On the palate flavors of blackberry, cherry and currants with dried herbs, cacao, pepper and spice with underlying gentle sweetness. I’m not usually a fan of Sauvignon Blanc, but this was a bit more complex than most. Nice melon note, with a smooth mouthfeel. Definitely a good summer wine for its crispness. Not sweet, either, which I prefer. — 4 years ago

I heard Bill Murray on a podcast recently raving about the bramble-berry pie he had the night before, describing the many berries that went into making it so delicious. It’s a fitting description for the current release of Bedrock’s Dolinsek Heritage red too, which is loaded with a rainbow of berry flavors and all their sweetness and bright acidity captured in a bottle instead of a crust. There’s an added bonus of a long, peppery finish thanks to the 70+% Zin in the field blend and some firm, drying tannins that signal a great future ahead. — a year ago

It was time to taste local again!! Nice, mature Syrah from the Snake River Valley in Idaho. Notes of ripe mulberry, almost jammy lifted by warm spices. Low acidity and very soft tannins. Time to drink it. — 5 years ago
