Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a few hours. The 2016 Lore Vineyard pours a deep ruby/purple color with an opaque core; medium+ viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with powerful notes of ripe black fruits: brambles, plums, cassis, loads of tobacco, leather, a touch of bell pepper, organic earth and fine baking spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and the texture is velvety. This is modern Napa through and through. Balanced but big. Drink now through 2036. — 2 months ago
Nice day for eating outside. Wine is OK/good. Prefer a little more backbone. Otherwise lighter than desired and full of raspberry. — 2 months ago
Very nice wine! Wonderful bouquet, with deep rich dark fruit. Big flavor with a smooth finish. My favorite of 8 Pinot’s at a sampling. Love this wine. — 4 months ago
Deep ruby color with nose of cassis, blackberries, violets, cedar, and vanilla. Very acidic and tart on first sip, but as it opens up the depth comes. This is a big wine with solid fruit and firm tannins. Give it a few years and I imagine those tannins will soften a bit. Enjoyed with some friends while we prayed for our kids. — 5 months ago

Pear, chalk and floral nose. Apple, honeysuckle, slate and lemon meringue palate. The 23 Sonoma Coast Chard from Rivers-Marie is really crisp, light on its feet and lets the fruit shine through. — 13 days ago
