Wow - this is my first experience with aged Altesse, and man - can it go the distance. Nose has some oxidative notes to be sure, but for a decade old white, this has aged very gracefully, in a controlled and complexing sort of way. Rich and full, with excellent length - excites me even more about the potential and versatility of the Altesse grape. — a day ago
This is the Gamay de Beauregard @Delectable Wine
Lifting aromas of bright and alluring berry fruit. Insane levels of spice, loam, flowers, alpine, clean minerals, really floral and really mineral with a thick berry fruit as well. Unreal aromas. So layered and deep. Some hints of mulch and potting soil. Be $50+ in Côte d’Or. Palate has terrific energy and depth. Unreal mineralIty and freshness. Terrific inner mouth florals and so juicy. God level juicy then finishes with lovely tanginess and minerality. Unreal purity of fruit and so sappy. This is as good as natural Savoie gamay is gonna get. Super expressive wine of terroir and great fruit. No dirty poop. Great wine. — 3 days ago
This is 100% Gamay from Bugey. Stunning stuff. Nose is mineral, with alpine flowers, gorgeous spices, but such a deep mineral drive. This is insane mineral driven mountain Gamay. Some berry fruit but this is a mineral wine. Really terrific aromas. Palate is so elegant, like a cloud. Superb sappy mineral driven mid season cherry fruit and incredible freshness and lovey tangy citrus on the finish. So clean. Lovely finesse here.
