Quite full and together. Surprisingly ready to go - just a short decant evens out the tannins, but in a nice way. First had this wine (2011) with steaks at Bar Nestor at San Sebastián so had this with steaks on the grill. Quite deep fruit. Great acid. Oak has fully receded. Tannins medium minus - not sure there’s any reason to wait. — 9 months ago

Purchased wine and cheese in St-Jean-de-Luz and brought back to our hotel in San Sebastián… Initially a bit reduced/funky, but eventually reveals pure cherry and blackberry fruit, mineral, very fine tannin, absolutely beautiful 😍😋🔥 — 3 years ago

Picarana is the “village” white, made with Albillo Real or Albillo de Madrid (completely different from Albillo Mayor found in Ribera del Duero) from different sites around San Martín de Valdeiglesias. White fruit, floral notes. Round, quite ripe, moderate acidity. — a year ago

Ardanza is always so great for the price. 2015 has beautiful fruit and concentration. Tobacco. Needs 3-4 years but ready now if you like ‘em young like Dylon. Pair with still quivering rare Chuleton rib steak in San Sebastián. — 2 years ago
