Epic vintage that is just starting to open up. Accessible but a lot more complexity should develop with time, based on the secondary characteristics that started to show with air — a month ago
When the wife orders you to pull a nice chardonnay from the cellar, you obey immediately.
This was an exciting bottle with citrus on the nose. Orange peel, pear, roasted bread and citrus on the palate. Good concentration and acidity. Seamless integration. Still more to come with additional cellar time. — 6 days ago
Unbelievable stuff. Intense lemon and minerality. Bright and lifted. Driving fine acidity and great heft. Dazzling and delicious. Wonderful — 11 days ago
Predictably reductive and tight initially but incredible depth and purity here. Pandemic relief purchase back in 2020 from a restaurant cellar by the unfailingly generous @Steven Perlman — 17 days ago
No formal notes . Medium yellow . Quite closed at first but a notable richness to it , ginger and yellow fruits , touch of struck match . On the palate really quite lively and fruited , lemon touches , very mineral and long on the palate . Good fresh acidity and good density . This is still quite young and benefited from time in the glass . From now and over the next 5-10 years . — a month ago

2017 vintage. Lemon zest and saline nose with toasty oak hovering about. Medium body with striking, brilliant yellow Chartreuse color. Initially and throughout, the wine was as taut as piano wire. Decanted 5 minutes after opening and tasted 30 mins after the decant. That toasty oak char came to play along with plenty of acidity. Quite the mouthful of wine currently. A tad tempestuous and in definite need of a mandatory, half-decade time out before being allowed to participate at recess again. 12.09.24. — 8 days ago
