Tomato, earth, cherry. Light Pinot Noir characters. Had it at Sachet. Great value. — 8 years ago
Vibrant red cherry, strawberry and lavender on the nose of this young DRC. The palate was complex with lively red/dark berry and an intriguing potpourri sachet note. Impressive is an understatement. Certainly better with age but a real treat now. — 9 years ago
One of the oldest winemaking properties in the Medoc, d'Issan has been turning out wine since the late 1,400s. But never mind that, '96 was a great vintage for the Left Bank, and this bottle seems to validate that fact. The nose is charming, with aromas of black currant, cassis, anise and lavender sachet. Nicely delineated on the palate, it comes across as cool and elegant with firm tannins studded with graphite, minerals, blackberries, dried herbs and that signature Margaux floral note right at the close. — 10 years ago
Prominent earthy and floral aromas- moss, lavender, and sweet tobacco, heady herbaceousness- like the sachet I'd want to put into a tomato sauce. Black cherry & hints of black truffle too--wow! I'd say the palate is a slight let down from the nose, but at $9/btl I have no complaints--a helluva steal! — 11 years ago

Hot damn. This is a sexy beast. Emphasis on the beast- this ain't your grandma's merlot. This is showing tons of vanilla-tobacco, ripe and dried cherry/plum, tea leaf, a definite mineral earthy dusty character reminiscent of an Italian super Tuscan. Bramble and sachet notes linger in the background. Palate just takes it home, driven by great acidity. No disrespect to Pahlmeyer, but hands down best domestic Merlot I've had. — 11 years ago
The most Provençe-y of rosés. Strawberry and melon, refreshing acidity, and a nice sachet of herbs over the back of the palate. #kogodwinemerchant #letstaste10roses — 11 years ago
YUM!!
We were kindly #gifted this bottle to try and oh my, I’m in love. It is so delicious and definitely worth hunting out if you ask me 😉
👀 cloudy apple juice
👃tropical fruit, dragonfruit, lemon sherbet, raro cordial sachet
👅 mineral dry, candy but not sweet if that makes sense, lemon lime, delicate balance across the mouth, light body, sherbet finish
Definitely should be available in 1.5l magnums as the standard 750ml bottle is just not enough 😋 — 5 years ago
Delicious rustic red from Santorini, bright notes of citrus peel and pomegranate. Paired well with our lamb pasta at Sachet, definitely a food wine. Before food arrived, our guests implied there was too much acid for their taste, but not for me. This one needs some air before opening up. Would be very difficult to identify blind, very few reds with this profile. — 8 years ago
Vibrant burnished bead dashing about a sachet of fruit. Meunière plays the lead on this premier Cru. Don't want the show to be over. — 11 years ago
