Opened a few days ago in the Northwoods of Wisconsin while visiting my boy at college. Spent a few days with him and the family making some memories. I didn’t try then, but it’s good. A bit of sugar on the pallet. Worth the price and will finish the rest with a Opus X. — a month ago
A great Cabernet Sauvignon, aged 18 months in French oak, about 50% new, deep Ruby with aromas of berry fruits, cigar box, lavender and spicy scents. On the palate flavors of black cherry, plum and currants with cacao, floral and minty notes. Fine dusty tannins, long finish ending with fruit, leather, tobacco, espresso and earthy character on a long finish. Very Nice. Will age. — 19 days ago

2009. Similar notes to the 2005. Less eucalyptus notes, more dried fruit. Inky color, iron minerality, cassis driven, pretty fruit, tannins still grippy. Tobacco and mint on the finish. Cork disintegrated while opening, but juice intact! 😁 — 23 days ago

2014 vintage. Decanted and tasted after 10 mins, 45 mins and two hours. Medium/medium heavy body. Plenty in the nose but mostly coffee/coffee derivative notes. 70-75% of the baby fat and sumptuousness this wine had upon release gonzo. Starting to get down to biz. Oodles of fruit and body. Personally wanted a bit more structure but realized I was in the wrong car for that. Drinking really nicely for this style but for the commandeering/commanding price, there are an absolute sh*t-ton of Napa cabs or BDX I'd much rather have. — 3 days ago
