@Neil Valenzuela, I love La Vielle Ferme wines, been drinking them since the early 1980s when they were $2.99/4.99. Hard to drink 1st growth Bordeaux 5-6 nights per week like @Dave, which I realize saying it out loud sounds like pure jealousy on my part!! 🤔🤷

Marc Hébrart

Brut 1er Cru Rosé Champagne Blend

The Hébrart domaine is located right on the Marne, in the village of Aÿ, catty-corner to Philipponnat. Their 1er cru Rosé, NV is a 60/40 mix of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, aged in INOX (with a small portion of the PN added as vin rouge aged in barrique). What’s most important, is that it’s delicious.

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The wine pours a very pretty pink color with a persistent mousse. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe strawberry, raspberry, lemon, pink flowers, marzipan and limestone minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+ with a lovely, creamy texture. Serious enough for the nerds; seriously gluggable for the revelers. Disgorged April of 2023. Drink now.

Domaine Tempier

Bandol Rosé Blend

Salmon color with copper reflexes. Nose of grapefruit, and Mandarin peel, lemon juice, pink flowers, and petrichor. Faint Aperol on the back. Palate is explosive but not effusive. More grapefruit oil, lemon pith, garrigue, waves of saline minerality and a bright acidity that makes it go on and on. Pretty serious argument on why it deserves its reputation is the best rosé in the world — 25 days ago

Château Pradeaux

Bandol Mourvedre - Cinsault Rosé Blend 2024

Dark copper in color. A beautiful color.

Strong nose and medium plus in body with medium plus acidity.

Dry on the palate with nice complexity.

Showing raspberries, cherries, citrus, apples, spices, light earth and herbs.

Nice finish with lemons and light almonds.

This tasty Rosé from Bandol is still very young, and needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly.

Already drinking very nicely, and will continue to get better in the next 10 years. I had the 2023 vintage recently, and it is already drinking better now.

Rich and well structured. Nicely balanced and easy drinking.

A nice sipping wine, good by itself or with food.

A blend of 70% Mourvedre, 25% Cinsault and 5% Grenache.

13.5% alcohol by volume.

91 points.

$35.

Light nose and medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with nice complexity.

Showing raspberries, strawberries, currants, lemons, peaches, spices, sea salt and light earth.

Tangy finish with grapefruits and limes.

This is a young Rosé from Bandol. Spicy and fruit forward. Elegant with a soft mouthfeel.

Nicely balanced and already showing nice complexity.

Will continue to age nicely in the next 10 to 15 years.

Good right out of the bottle and good by itself as a sipping wine.
