This wine is slightly frizzante upon pouring, the purple bubbles dissipating quickly. A whiff reveals fragrant, ripe cherries and concord grapes. The palate is soft and round, full of fresh fruit, a touch of earth and some tingly acidity. Complexity is not the issue here, as it might be with other Lambruscos. This is an extremely drinkable and food-friendly wine. A true bargain. — 3 days ago

Standard Bearer of quality dry Lambrusco, which I return to periodically. . A reminder too to not be stingy with myself at under $15/14 a bottle. What’s beautiful here is the balance between a dark, brooding & frothy, joyful character. Pomegranate, black cherry, a touch of anise. A great combination of Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Bright red plum, dark red fruit, herbal and bay leaf.
Grippy tannins and a crisp finish.
