Love Santa Ynez wine country. The rustic unpretentious spirit of the region is reflected in the wines. This is a supple Cabernet with lavender and anise on the nose fading into savory herbs and berries. The sip is smooth. Balanced. Not overly tannic, acidic, or hot. Sorta melts into your tongue like dark chocolate. There is some earthy tones, gravel and graphite lingers. Perfect for a bacchanal or a Friday night on the sofa. — 6 months ago

Dark garnet coloration. On the nose, cherry, balsamic, eucalyptus and minerals. On the palate, cherry, balsamic, eucalyptus/mint and minerals. Long finish of same. Tannins are rather mellow after 15 years. Revisited the following day- on the nose, strawberry, herbs, florals, balsamic. On the palate, strawberry, florals, eucalyptus/mint/clove /spice, balsamic, minerals and long finish. Nicely balanced tannins. — 2 years ago
Tannins still a bit strong but red fruits and tar are lovely — 2 months ago
This is all cru Barbaresco fruit, folks. Just younger vines that are higher yielding and need more maturity. Very strong Langhe, particularly at $20 (retail) price point I got it for 🙌 — 6 months ago
