Lousas Viñas de Aldea Mencía 2012

Wow this with some age on it is pretty freaking delicious red fruit and dried leaves and spice very different than young Mencia! Happy 2020! — 19 days ago

Ribeira Sacra Red Blend

Plum and apple skin on the nose, juicy plum green fig and overripe raspberry acidity and fruit moves into red clay and earthy depths, Brazil nut, leather, maybe a touch of tomato leaf or geranium in the finish. Silky medium body and low tannin with some heat. Really a lot going on. — 2 months ago

Lacima Ribeira Sacra Red Blend 2014

Mencia is a thrill, I was stunned, nose big and wonderful , whats not to like. It is not cheap but even though worth it. You got power, no oak just wellness. — 2 months ago

Lousas Vinas de Aldea Vinos Atlanticos Red Blend 2015

Crushed wild strawberries and strawberry jam on the nose. Smells like roses and maybe violets when it begins to open. Something vaguely Nebbiolo like with that scent. Good long finish. Easy but present tannins. We drank most of a mag. Would love to have sampled the rest today. — 3 months ago
