Scott Paul Cellars

La Paulée Willamette Valley Pinot Noir 2013

Unscrew and pour. 2013 OR wines (from producers I like) seem to be hitting their stride now. This bottle showed really well, and much better than my btl.about 4 yeara ago. On the nose: sour cherry, spice, plum, brambles. On the palate: great acidity, sour cherry, cola, pomegranate, soft herbs, loads of cracked black pepper..light bodied, but silky, and attenuated tannin on the finish. Good complexity for its station, and simultaneously easy to drink. — 2 months ago

Little bit of brighter vegetational. Some smoothier, stronger tannins but more cab than dark cherry. Not getting the darker notes in the American version — 2 months ago

One of the pleasures of your reviews is the short but always interesting history of the vineyard, company or person behind the wine and bottle.
