Brioche!!! — 6 years ago
100% Pinot Blanc from limestone soils, 90 months on the lees, disgorged Apr ‘22.
very fresh & enticing with green & yellow apple, lemon peel, candied ginger, a hint of short bread.
Nice creamy mouthfeel with some richness but also racy acidity. So precise & poised. Tiny, persistent bubbles, nice depth, great energy & flow.
A brilliant wine.

Classic blend of CH, PN, PM, 1/3 each. 60+ months on the lees, disgorged Jan 2020.
This is complex & quite profound. Nose shows terrific tension between the lemon, lemon peel & kumquat and the toasted brioche with fresh hazelnuts & freshly made creme brûlée.
Lovely mouthfeel, v. creamy & quite rich yet impeccably balanced with electric acidity, super fine froth and a hint of minerality in the background. Great depth, purity and precision, but most of all, finesse.
This beats most Champagnes flat out.
A truly great wine! — 4 years ago
100% Pinot Blanc from 2010, disgorged only in Sept 2018, giving 7y of aging on the lees.
This is quite complex with Smokey aromas, toasted hazelnuts, some ripe pear in the background and the unmistakable aroma of a good, fresh croissant. Crisp & poised with nice depth and small, persistent bubbles. There’s a fun spicy note to the finish as well. This is really serious stuff. Very good indeed. — 5 years ago
Made by Jan Wongse of Raumland and Felix Keller at Keller, from Theresa Breuer’s Roseneck vineyard (leased I believe). A unicorn. Marginally less extract than the Keller wines on the table I felt, but the complexity and precision was awe-worthy. A really filigreed rendition of Rheingau (perhaps atypical of this vineyard?). Lime, grapefruit, nectarines, mandarin, flowers, fresh herbs, and sea spray. Pure, fresh, and airy on the palate, yet still manages to bring about some beautiful silky textures. Laser acidity and an incredibly salty spine, along with some spices in the backend. Impressive really and if anything, shows that the future is in very good hands. — 2 years ago
Disgorged Nov 2019
This has depth & complexity way beyond my expectations. Very fine mousse, withy tiny, persistent bubbles. Fresh nose with hazelnut, some green walnut and freshly cut apples. Great precision on the palate, not very rich but still with good breadth, fresh apples and a streak of lemon juice balancing everything beautifully. Hazelnuts and apple tart. Amazing length. This is elegant, complex and bordering on profound. — 4 years ago

Wow. This was stupid great. Unreal refinement and such fine mousse. So savory and complex. — a month ago
