I’m sorry to have judged this wine too early - she is a shy one and takes some time and warmth to open up to her full potential. The wine is a light straw yellow in color. Initial aromas and taste are lemon, lemon zest, lemon pith, with a hint of the roundness of cream. After a while it takes on tertiary wool aromas, soft like a cashmere sweater. The texture is light, restrained, elegant, refined, though not a super long finish. Charming and worth getting to know over the course of an evening.

Wonderful on the nose. Needs to open up and then wow! — 4 years ago
Simply because I like beaujolais and at 13% this won't give me a huge @#&$ing hangover this is one of my go-to reds when I fancy it... not just because the supermarket that sells it is literally 5 minutes away 😆🙈🍷🍷 #beaujolais — 6 years ago
Vineyard’s all here 💯 energy and structure plenty for this to ring on for a while. Good expression of Genevrieres. Understated in the best way. Length. Persistence. Aftertaste 👌🏼 — 6 years ago

More Burgundian than Chablis-like. Not as mineral / sharp, more lush. Better pairing with the sautéed sea bream on Christmas Eve as a result actually. — 6 months ago
The Beaujolais has a ruby with purple shades colour. Fine and fruity, the nose awakes with small red fruit aromas. Smooth and soft on the palate, it offers a nice fruity aromatic persistence.

Out of mag. Aged well. Drink now. Coconut, ricotta. — 2 years ago
Insanely lucky to have a case of this. Vineyard’s all there. Absolutely brimming with content. Fizzing and buzzing on the palette with energy, minerals, force. Stony and electric as all hell — 6 years ago
Nice expression from one of my favorite Meursault vineyards: Charmes. I don't know anything about the producer, but this is clean on the palate, with toasty, nutty tertiary notes shining through a mediocre vintage. I don't think I'd pay the price tag for this, but a nice bottle nonetheless. — 7 years ago
