Called Rioja. Super-dill coconut give-away. — 5 months ago
A lovely red blend of 60% Touriga Nacional, 20% Touriga Franca, 20% Tinta Roriz, red fruits, intense aromatics, fruity, and very smooth and silky, inviting mouthfeel, delicious texture and long finish! Never disappoints! — 8 months ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a couple hours. This bottle of the 2005 Gran Reserva came from a Library Release in 2022 so the cork was perfect. The wine pours a garnet color with a translucent core; medium+ viscosity with light staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of tart, ripe and some dried, mostly red fruits: Bing cherry, raspberries, plum, tobacco, leather, dill and assorted dried garden herbs, gentle baking spices and dry, dusty earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long. This is in a lovely spot and yet, has a long life ahead. Drink now with some patience and enjoy through 2045. — 3 months ago
2022 vintage. Tasted with the winemaker Matt Brady. Nearly equal (and maybe better) to the 2021 vintage. Jumped at the 2021 effort so no room for this one but absolutely delicious follow-up. Spice, tannins, fruit all in balance and verry harmonious. It’s Pinots like this that keep me sold on the Santa Rita Hills as dayumed likely the best pinot-producing area in CA. 03.12.25 — 7 months ago
Really showing well for a 15 yr old Pinot- cola, rhubarb and blackberry on the nose, full bodied and lush tannins. Quite sweet but balanced — 2 months ago
60% Touriga Nacional
20% Touriga Franca
20% Tinta Roriz
Dark purple color, with a lot of earthy components. Floral notes with a wooden accents, vanilla, and dark ripened fruit. All with a bit of leather. Nicely balanced with just a medium tannin structure. A lot softer than the flavors and scents give off. I think it’s delicious, and the 2018 is drinking quite primely right now. — 5 months ago
