What a nose. Mint and menthol along with dark cherry, some oaky notes, some kirsch touches too. This is a great, multi-layered nose. The palate is very well made with a great acid backbone, some width, some nice mouthfeel, with a good grip. Cherry notes, a bit of tar, make way to a massive ball of a mid palate that introduces a strong layer of tannins, leaving some drying dimension to the mouthfeel over a very long cherry driven finish with that tar thing. It's great stuff! — 3 years ago

Aromas of dark fruits, star anise, leather, cinnamon, dark chocolate. On the palate, blackberries, blueberries, nice acidity, medium finish. Can drink now but would be even better in a few years. — 6 years ago

Bright Ruby with aromas of berries, leather and earthy notes, blend of 65% Sangiovese and 35% Cabernet Sauvignon. On the palate flavors of black cherry and blackberries with leather, cacao and earthy herbs. Long finish, round tannins ending with fruit and earthy character. Very nice!! 375ml. Nose has crunchy black cherry fruit, and the characteristic earthiness of the region has taken on a slightly animal, feral quality in this iteration. Savory and relatively full in the mouth. A little drying and bitter at the end of the finish. — 8 days ago
