Really nice Barbera, excellent with the Bolgnese pasta, but it would have benefited from more time to open, as well as more time to age. — 4 months ago
More in alignment with WS review: “Cherry, raspberry, violet and mineral aromas and flavors mark this perfumed red. Racy and elegant, with defining acidity. Persistent finish. Drink now through 2028. 3,300 cases made, 1,000 cases imported.” — Bruce Sanderson… Versus WE: “Like a garden at twilight, this Barbera lifts with violets and lavender before diving into a pool of plums and boysenberries, kissed by fresh herbs. The palate mirrors this purple-fruited dance with juicy precision. Give it a slight chill and watch it become the life of the party.” — Jeff Porter. — 5 months ago
Quite light ruby , wide pink rim . Lots of tart red fruits , cranberry , raspberry , with fresh cut herbs and rose . On the palate this is very fresh with lots of red fruits and quite high refreshing acidity . Good fresh herbal crunchy cranberry, orange rind finish with lightly grippy tannins . Perfect now and over the next 5 years or so . At Osteria Giro de Vite, in Monchiero , a little place just outside of the Barolo region that is well worth visiting . — 24 days ago

Barbera 2002. Nose: Cherry, moss. Taste: ripe cherry, earthy funk almost. I don’t think I’ve ever tasted anything like this but I really enjoyed. I feel like through the earthiness you can really taste the age of the wine. Overall really enjoyed and curious about trying more barbera. — 4 months ago
Incredibly fresh and moreish. At Hope Cove House where they know their natural wine and their cooking 👏🏼 — 4 months ago
Village tavern. Very good. — 6 months ago
Located halfway up the hill dominating the principal valley of Barolo, supported by steep slopes lined by orderly vineyards, lies the 15th century Abbey of Annunziata. Deep Ruby with aromas of ripe berry fruits and pepper spice. On the palate flavors of cherry and strawberry, lively spice, well balanced with savory fine tannins on a medium+ finish ending with mineral character. — 23 days ago
love these, so bright. — a month ago
2021 vintage. Last tasted 1.9.25 (9.3). Did indeed pick up extra for the resto and down to 1-2 bottles left. PNP. Still beyond solid for the price. It you find this vintage retail and it is $50 or below, you'd better pick it up or I'll call the federales/gendarmes/polizia/po po myself. — 3 months ago

#AgedWineTuesday
Ruby in color with medium intensity and a wide reddish rim.
Earthy nose and medium bodied with medium plus acidity.
Very dry on the palate and complex.
Showing red cherries, raspberries, tobacco leaf, earth, light oak, mildew, light green vegetables, herbs, forest floor, black pepper and black tea.
Tangy finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This 13 year old Barolo is still drinking nicely, but will not get much better from this point on. Soft and elegant, but lost a lot of the fruits by now.
Not fully balanced at this point, but easy drinking and better with food.
13.5% alcohol by volume.
90 points.
$60 (current vintage). — 20 hours ago
