2020 vintage. Big, darkly-fruited nose that rolls over to the flavors. Medium body. Great complexity for initial and mid-palates, Finish is where things drop off a cliff. Solid banger for the price. Wow this is singing! What a nose. Gorgeous lemon inflected minerality. Hints of attractive spicey oak and stunning rocky minerality. Tree bark and herbs. So good. What a screaming mimi of a nose. Palate is rich and ripe but also nervy and tense. Amazing purity buttressed by that awesome Meursault richness. Lovely texture. Awesome mouthfeel and a lovely lemon drop lime zest finish. Pure passion. I keep these well supplied simply because they’re so damn good. A very pretty light golden color in the glass. The nose is magnificent with chalk and floral aromas. A burst of honeysuckle, orange peel, and quince. Beautiful brioche notes with a streak of honey. Just divine.

Bottled at a lower pressure than other champagnes which produces a softer wine. Creamy and complex, it’s a magisterial Blanc de Blancs. Primarily from the 2016 vintage with 30% of the blend coming from 2014. Elegant and generous with a real sense of place.

Slight hints of grapefruit and apples on the palate. Herbal essence and white fruits for days and days and days. Really striking on the tongue. Long, persistent finish. But ignore all of that, this is really about emotions. There’s passion and love and romance here. And isn’t that what it’s all about anyway?

Last nights comparison. Both were very much cherry driven fruit, but more acidic sour cherry in the 2013 at first while an almost cough drop deep cherry in the 2014. I found the 2013 had a more earthy nature while the 2014 seemed more rounded and had more deep fruit. — 2 years ago

in line with the other reviews. An exceptional wine maker, doing everything from planting to pruning to winemaking. Very small production. Opened the bottle about an hour before consuming every last drop. Quite delicious. An exceptional example of Oregon Pinot Noir.  — 2 months ago

2007 vintage. Decanted and tasted immediately and throughout 1.5 hours. Medium/medium-heavy body. Initially filled with Chambord and sweaty saddle flavors and aromas. Picked up some copper/aluminum flavors along with a distinct, pushy zinc finish after that 1.5 hours. Seems to have enough personality to go steady for another 5-6 years without a noticeable drop-off. 11.12.23. — 5 months ago
