Appropriately named as we served this estate’s rosso at our wedding and I suppose it’s therefore “in the blood” at this point. Dark, earthy, complex and alluring, violets, raspberry, subtle woodsmoke and dried underbrush. Smooth but firm structurally. I buy it whenever I can and it will hold and improve — 2 years ago
Less bold and slightly less dry than cerrata. More complex. Great nose of dark and red fruits and earth — 2 months ago
Very light and refreshing. Almost similar to a very good Beaujolais nouveau. — 7 months ago
2015 vintage from magnum.
Bright ruby colour.
Perfumed nose with cherry, plums and dark flowers.
Smooth and savoury with medium acidity, red fruits, earthy, herbs and well developed rounded tannins.
This wine is food friendly.
I got a kilo of local Matsutake mushrooms from a forager friend and made risotto.

Much fruitier than the barbera but bolder and dryer as well. Sweet and almost sour note on nose. — 2 months ago

Upon decanting for 30 minutes the nose is full of ripe cherry, tobacco & a bit of mint.
On the palate the nose is verified with good structure and soft tannin. it is medium bodied, delightful wine that is fully mature and has a long full finish. Drink it now. It is a lovely classic barolo. — a month ago
