kontakt White Blend 2019

Müller Thurgau, as the name implies, with some skin contact. Not an ‘orange’ wine but stilll maintains a pale straw color. Notes of raw almond and maybe bruised apple. Bone dry. Philip Lardot is the apprentice to Mosel/Riesling genius Ulli Stein. His winemaking style seems to be more experimental or exploratory than Stein’s. I’m loooking forward to trying more of his wines in the future. — 3 months ago

No. 19 Sauvignon Blanc 2017

Does no betray that it is a SB at first blush. The grass is more a tertiary aroma beneath maybe a green apple nose.
On the palate the acid predominates but is not obtrusive. The wine is probably more of a Loire valley signature.
Rosslyn and Alix did not appreciate this wine at all. In fact they disliked it so much they did not drink it.
