2001 vintage. Good fill. Opened with a Durand and decanted with tons of sed. Tasted 20 minutes and one hour after decanted. Light-medium body. Laser-like intensity. Fully showing secondary and tertiary flavors. Previously picked up 3 bottles based on two early 90's visits with this wine/producer. Super-distinctive then. Super-distinctive now. Not your normal Napa Cab. Spring Mountain Cab actually showing as mountain Cab vs the overt attempts in the 80's, 90's and 00's for Spring Mountain properties to fool everyone into thinking/replicate Napa Valley floor Cab. F that. This producer got it then and gets it now. Lean and mean. Chiseled and durty. Just picked up the last 3 bottles available at very reasonable price. Instructive as to the possibilities of Napa Cab at a far edge of the spectrum. 10.23.26. — 7 days ago

2020 vintage. Bordeaux meets Rhône in this original blend of Cabernet Sauvignon from La Lagune and Syrah from Jaboulet. Needs some time, so decant or give it 15 minutes in the glass. Black fruit ( blackberries, cassis) intertwined with Provence spices. Juicy and spicy, with complexity and very good length. Highly recommended. Abv. 13,5 %. — 4 years ago

This is my first experience with this grape and this wine. I was given this wine by a close friend, the 1994 Ca' Togni Sweet Red Wine Philip Togni Vineyard Spring Mountain St. Helena, California. The grape is the Muskat Trollinger Muscat Hamburg.

On the nose there is licorice, leather, coffee and dark earth.

On the palate is licorice, buttery nutty carmel, concentrated dried dark fruits and butterscotch.

This wine is medium to full bodied and has port feel and qualities, sweet very viscous medium acidity and tannins seem to be fully resolved that moves deliciously into a long sweet savory nutty finish. Continued great weekend to everyone, stay safe and healthy. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 4 years ago

Does no betray that it is a SB at first blush. The grass is more a tertiary aroma beneath maybe a green apple nose.
On the palate the acid predominates but is not obtrusive. The wine is probably more of a Loire valley signature.
Rosslyn and Alix did not appreciate this wine at all. In fact they disliked it so much they did not drink it. — 6 years ago

2022 vintage. A blend of 53% Merlot, 36% Cabernet Sauvignon and 11% Petit Verdot. As Siran is consistently of Cru Classé quality, I've put the bar high, tasting it next to the 2022 La Lagune. While it doesn't have the depth and quality of tannins of the latter, Siran 2022 is an impressive effort, a classic Margaux in the same league as the magnificent 2019 Siran. — 2 years ago
